Such a pleasure to get French boudin noir! That’s impossible to find in Australia. It is delicious. If I could modulate something, that would be the spices (it is Five Spices?), that are a tiny bit on the strong side. I would prefer the French way, just salt, pepper, maybe onions, and then we can season the way we like with other spices. Now, I ordered 4 days ago, the parcel was delivered this morning, I had a ball trying one for my lunch, went straight away online to reorder, and it is already out of stock!! That gives a fair idea of the success and quality of the product.

I tried the boudin noir within 20 minutes of receiving it by express post. Packaging was still cold but unfortunately the boudin noir was not good, cooked or not cooked. It had an “off”taste. Also the consistency was way too soft. I am French and in the family we used to make boudin noir, the right way! This is not the real thing.

Hi Jean-Georges
Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to speak with us directly. We’re sorry to hear the boudin noir was not to your taste and did not meet your expectations. As discussed, we also checked the same batch ourselves and did not identify any quality issues, however we fully understand that taste, texture, and expectations can vary, especially with fresh products such as boudin noir. We do appreciate your honest feedback and are pleased to hear the rest of your order arrived quickly and in good condition.
